Quality Control Technician

For our quality department we are looking for an experienced Quality Control Technician.

The Company
Nedstack Fuel Cell Technology develops and manufactures Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell stacks and systems. The main applications of our fuel cells are Built Environment, Industrial and Maritime Fuel Cell solutions. To deliver emission-free energy solutions worldwide, we work closely together with several system integrators. Due to a growing demand for our solutions, Nedstack is rapidly expanding its organization in several departments. In two years’ time Nedstack will be the largest fuel cell factory in Europe, with a production capacity of one gigawatt per year of fuel cell power. Duties and responsibilities

The QCT has an objective and incisive look on the running operations and supply chain performance.

The QCT is responsible for closing the gaps between the output of the operations and the applicable standards and specifications. This includes the deliveries from our production plant among the way from our suppliers, partners and subcontractors who are responsible for execution of outsourced activities. The main goal is to comply with our internal specifications as OEM, our customer requirements, and the applicable standards in the hydrogen technology and adjacent. To achieve this goal, we have to rely on your competences to use various quality measurement equipment and inspection methods, and to be able to inspire employees on continuous improvement attitude.

The QCT is reporting directly to the Quality Manager. In this position you will work together within several departments from Purchase to R&D. Your daily work can vary from incoming inspections, product inspections, analysis of deviations, internal audits and continuous improvement activities. Your daily motivator is helping teams using accurate (process) data, bring new insights using your technical expertise and assure the effectiveness of the improvements (PDCA).

The scope of the responsibilities contains

  • Managing the incoming inspection area and the applied inspection methods (AQL),
  • Managing the complaints to suppliers (8D),
  • Assuring the reliability of the improvement actions initiated by the supplier,
  • Managing the measurement room and the applicable testing methods (CMM),
  • As a member of the audit team, participating in the execution of internal (process) audits,
  • Performing and administrating the quality inspection of final products,
  • Initiating and coordinating the repair activities of the rejected products and ensuring the validation of the repaired products,
  • Performing several product test activities according to the inspection plan,
  • Initiating feasible product or process improvements,
  • Evaluating and administrating quality records in assistance of the quality system to assure the product compliance.

Job requirements / experience with

  • MBO 4 Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics education
  • 5 years+ experience in Quality or Supplier Quality positions in high tech industry, automotive or similar
  • Good experience in using CMM and optical instruments
  • Basic statistical knowledge (histogram, Pareto, process capability, standard deviation)
  • Ability to implement and train the AQL sample size inspection
  • Ability to apply problem solving methods (8D, Ishikawa, 5Why)
  • Familiar with the requirements from ISO 9001-2015 quality system
  • Experience with several commodities such as cables and connectors, pcba’s, metal sheet or plastics
  • Familiar with Lean Six Sigma

Skills and abilities

  • A very high attention to details
  • Ability to think in (process) risks and opportunities
  • Ability to provide comprehensive and reliable quality reports
  • Strong communicator with an outspoken opinion with excellent verbal and written communication in Dutch, English and preferably also in German
  • Good experience with several Microsoft applications
